A coffee mousse is an incredibly light, delicious dessert that brings the perfect end to any meal. An elegant twist on the classic chocolate mousse, this droolworthy dessert focuses more on the richness of coffee and really brings out that punchy flavour.

It's a relatively simple recipe that you can whip up in minutes even if it's your first time making this airy French dessert. It's slightly different and not as complex as your regular mousse recipes. Since the coffee serves as the main flavouring for this mousse, you can change things up a little by using a flavoured instant coffee of your choice to make a strong espresso

Ingredients

1 cup sweetened whipping cream

1/2 cup dark chocolate (melted)

2 tsp Country Bean's Hazelnut coffee (or any flavour of your choice)

1/4 cup hot water

Some chocolate chips and mint leaves to garnish

Method

- Add 2 tsp of Country Bean's hazelnut coffee and hot water, stir and keep it aside

- Add sweetened whipping cream in a bowl and whip until you get stiff peaks

- Melt the dark chocolate and pour it into the whipped cream

- Fold the coffee mixture into the whipped cream and combine the ingredients well

- Add coffee mousse mixture to your dessert glasses and smooth out the top with a spoon

- Refrigerate it for 1-2 hrs and garnish it with some chocolate chips and mint leaves

Pro Tips

You can use any flavour of Country Bean's instant coffee that you like. We've used the Hazelnut coffee but you could try using the Caramel coffee or the Vanilla coffee

Make sure you gently fold the melted dark chocolate and the espresso mixture into the whipped cream.

To garnish your mousse, you can even drizzle some caramel sauce or use your favourite garnish to top it off. You could try using crushed and candied walnuts, or even some freshly cut strawberries or blueberries to top off your coffee mousse.

Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or more for the best flavour. The colder the mousse is, the better it will taste.
