This chocolate gelato is sure to take you to the streets of Florence!

A mess-free recipe for the all-time favourite - Chocolate Gelato! A creamy and rich chocolate Italian dessert for all your cold dessert cravings. Try it now and we are sure you are gonna love it.


1 Milkmaid tin

1 heaped tbsp Country Bean original coffee

1 Dairy Milk chocolate (large)

1 heaped tbsp cocoa powder

Chocolate chunks

1/2 cup cream cheese

1 cup whipped cream

60ml rum (optional)


  • Cut the chocolate chunks into small pebbles.                                                                  
  • In a saucepan, add the chocolate pebbles, Country Bean original coffee, cocoa powder and chunks of Dairy Milk chocolate bar. Whisk everything on a low flame.                            
  • Take it off the flame once it looks fudgy and pour it in an empty glass bowl. Now add cream cheese and whisk it till you get a smooth homogenous mix.                                       
  • Add some lightly whipped cream to the mix. Carefully fold it in so that you don’t press any air out.                                                                                                                     
  • Add 60ml of rum to this mix and mix well.(Optional) Empty it into another container and cover it with a lid.                                                                                                        
  • Put it in the freezer for 18-24 hours. Scoop out the chocolaty goodness and top it with your favourite toppings.

This sinfully smooth dessert is sure to leave you wanting for more.
